WIllowing Whimsy's Week Three

This week the theme for the Whimsy class is shading. It's only the second time I've tried using the watercolour pencils and water-soluble crayons for a face. This painting is by no means finished yet - the hair needs work, and the dress needs a few more layers, and the background obviously not ready. But htought you may like to see the progression.
Thanks for stopping by, X Me

  1. Ooooh I like the splats at the bottom! Your piece is coming along great! I think it's interesting to see the difference in the paintings from what Suzi was teaching to what Willow is teaching.

  2. Hi Donna - love your new painting! I think the face shading looks great so far...sometimes it can be tricky learning to work with a new medium, but once you find your rhythm, it's all good. :)

I also like the paint splatters and the gold accents at the bottom...pretty, pretty!
